Motor cover for Hypermax filter

You can increase the filtration volume in your Hypermax filter. The motor cover mounts in the upper basket, allowing you to use this extra space and get a total of more than 19 liters of filter media volume.

Hypermax is our powerful filter, where the filter media including the prefilter is as much as 15.9 l! It provides ideal filtration in tanks from 200 to 1,500 l, while keeping the need to deal with media changes or filter cleaning to a minimum. Is it worth further enhancing its capabilities?

More filtration thanks to the impeller guard

Aquael designers decided to offer to increase the possible filtration volume by using the highest, previously empty basket. Just add a motor protection to enjoy additional liters of filtration. The use of the guard eliminates the risk of loose media moving into the impeller chamber.

Installation of the guard is very simple and intuitive. A special groove indicates where to hook the basket. The loose filter media can then be placed around the guard. You can gain about 3.3 liters of additional filter media volume this way!

Filter media for the additional Hypermax basket

The top basket in the Hypermax filter is the last element of filtration. At this stage we recommend the use of biological media, for which the slow flow of water is very beneficial and allows beneficial nitrifying bacteria to develop. Biological media are also looser, which ensures adequate flow of filtered water.
