AQUAEL MINI UV STERILIZER is a compact UV-C LED sterilizer designed to eliminate floating algae, pathogenic bacteria and protozoa in freshwater and marine aquariums up to 150 liters. The unique sleeve design is mounted on the outlet of AQUAEL internal filters, providing clean water and a healthier environment for fish and shrimp.

Energy efficient and discreet design

Equipped with a 0.5 Watt UV-C LED, the sterilizer provides efficient sterilization with minimal energy consumption, emitting light with a wavelength of 260-270 nm to combat microorganisms. Its small size (5 cm long, 3 cm wide) and independent power source allow for easy installation without cluttering the aquarium interior, ideal for nano tanks like the AQUAEL SHRIMP SET.

Application and benefits

Ideal for small to medium-sized aquariums, this sterilizer prevents water greening, reduces the risk of disease and clarifies cloudy water caused by protozoa. It is especially suitable for shrimp tanks or densely stocked setups requiring better water quality without extensive maintenance.

How to use it.

Attach the sterilizer sleeve to the outlet nozzle of a compatible AQUAEL internal filter (FAN, UNIFILTER, TURBOFILTER or PAT MINI), immerse it in the aquarium and connect it to its independent power source. Turn it on or off as needed to control algae or pathogens.

Maintenance

Periodically rinse the sterilizer sleeve in aquarium water to remove debris, ensuring clean water flow past the LEDs. The long-lasting UV-C LEDs do not require frequent replacement, but during routine maintenance, check the unit for wear and tear as well.

Comments

Make sure the filter is properly compatible before installation. Monitor water clarity, as effectiveness may vary in tanks heavily laden with algae.
