Its porous structure provides a filtration surface of 600 m&sup2;\/l, ideal for the growth of nitrifying bacteria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Removal of toxins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Porous ceramic cylinders create a habitat for bacteria of the Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira genera, which oxidize toxic ammonia (Nitrosomonas) and nitrites (Nitrospira) to safer nitrates. This process significantly improves water quality, protecting fish and other organisms from poisoning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Versatile design<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cartridge is ready to use without rinsing.
