Efficient mechanical filtration

Do you care about clean water thanks to an internal filter, but do not want to spend a lot of time on its maintenance and cleaning? You’ve come to the perfect place! The Neo 300 filter will perfectly clean the aquarium water from unwanted impurities. At the same time, it will require a minimum of involvement on the part of the aquarist, while allowing you to use the filter in many different ways. Water purification in the Neo 300 filter is carried out by trapping particles of impurities on the filter wadding. The capacity of the maximum open filter is 320 l/h, which allows to effectively purify water in an aquarium up to 100 l in volume.

Capacity adjustment and aeration

You can easily adjust the flow rate of the water through the Neo 300 Filter. The filter is equipped with a capacity regulator, which will allow you to adjust the strength of the flow to your needs. This model will also be perfect for smaller tanks and nano aquariums. In addition, the filter is equipped with an aeration tube. It ensures adequate oxygenation of the water in the tank.

Interchangeable directional nozzles

An interesting solution is the use of two interchangeable directional nozzles in the set. The first is a classic jet nozzle, to which an aeration hose is attached. The flow of the nozzle can be adjusted by turning it in any direction. In addition, the set includes a nozzle from which the water flows out in a semicircle. The outflow of water in a range of 180 degrees also sets it into a gentle rippling motion. A gentle current is created in the water. Such a solution also gives a better opportunity to oxygenate the water.

Fixing the filter

The filter uses a useful mounting solution. The rack attaches with 4 suction cups. However, the basket with the filter module smoothly slides out when pressed. This makes it very easy to service the filter – the motor stays in the water all the time, while the filter element can be removed and cleaned or replaced. The design of the Neo 300 filter also allows it to be installed at an angle or even horizontally. If the arrangement inside your tank requires it, use such an option to make the most efficient use of space. The filter housing is only 5.5 cm in length. The flat shape makes it easy to blend it behind plants or fixtures to make it as unobtrusive as possible.

Replacement filter cartridges for the Neo 300 filter

Do you like the convenience of prepared sachets for water filter media? This is a very functional solution, perfect for those who want to use ready-made cartridges. Three types of filter cartridges from Aquael’s range are dedicated to the Neo 300 filter: – Standard Wool – a replaceable cartridge made of thick filter wadding, which provides efficient mechanical filtration of water – CarboMAX – a cartridge made of filter wadding with activated carbon; it empties thein addition to mechanical filtration, it also eliminates chemical impurities and discoloration from the water – PhosMAX – in addition to the filter wadding, it also contains a phosphate eliminator, which protects the aquarium from algae infestation.

Complementarity

The filter holds 1 sachet. The cartridge should be replaced regularly to ensure proper water filtration conditions. We recommend replacing it no less frequently than every 2-4 weeks – see the packaging for detailed information. The starter kit includes a Carbomax cartridge. For larger aquariums over 100 liters, we recommend external filters from Aquael’s range, such as Ultramax or Hypermax, adapted to larger tanks and different filtration requirements.

Additional protection for shrimp and fry

The safety of aquarium inhabitants is our top priority. That’s why we’re keen to make sure that internal filters are adequately protected against small fish or shrimp, which are most vulnerable to this due to their small size, getting behind the housing. Therefore, we recommend placing a thin layer of sponge on the front of the filter. It provides an additional barrier to protect small animals, and also provides a place for the development of beneficial nitrifying bacteria. A properly cut sponge is included in the kit. Be sure not to throw it away when replacing sachets of ready-made cartridges, but only rinse it in aquarium water.
