PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Unifilter UV-C is an internal filter, designed to purify, aerate and sterilize water. Thanks to the built-in sterilizer in the rotor chamber of the pump, it provides the effect of destroying algae, bacteria and other pathogenic organisms.

Water sterilization

The UV-C nozzle is put on as needed instead of the impeller chamber cover of the Unifilter UV-C filter. Only filtered water flows through it, making the sterilization process safe for aquarium inhabitants and the bacteria in the filter cartridges and substrate. The violet light emitted by the UV-C diode makes the water not only cleaned by the filter, but also additionally sterilized. The source of ultraviolet UV-C radiation is a patented system using modern technology with LEDs. The wavelength of UV radiation is 260-270 nm. As a result of UV-C rays, the aquarium water remains biologically clean all the time. This makes sure that fish and plants live in a comfortable and healthy environment. The UV-C LEDs can be switched on or off independently of the filter operation. This is because the caps have an independent power supply. Aeration can be done through the nozzle or through the impeller chamber.

Universal application

The Unifilter UV-C filter can be mounted on the aquarium glass with the shorter or longer side. With this solution, the filter can be hidden in a less visible part of the aquarium, such as behind vegetation. Suction cups and an adjustable hanger ensure the stability of the device. The design of the filter’s motor and the position of the impeller allow it to be used in tanks with low water levels, such as aquaterraria or paludaria. The motor will always be under water. The filter impeller is equipped with a ceramic axis, which ensures quiet, long-lasting and trouble-free operation in both freshwater and marine aquariums. The 90° adjustment of the water flow rate and direction allows you to adjust the filtration to the individual needs of the tank.

Easy to maintain

The Unifilter UV-C internal filter has 2 sponge cartridges, providing mechanical and biological filtration. The unique design of the Unifilter UV-C prevents dirty water from spilling out of the filter into the aquarium when it is removed or changed. This eliminates the danger of dirty water in the tank. Since the filter has 2 filter sponges, it is best to clean them alternately. This prevents the destruction of colonies of nitrifying bacteria, which support nitrogen metabolism. In order for the filter to work efficiently, we recommend regularly cleaning the impeller including the chamber and the UV-C LED lens from deposits. Detergents (soap, dishwashing liquid, etc.) and solvents should never be used for these purposes, as residues of these agents remaining in the filter can cause disease and fish death.

Complementarity

For aquariums of 200-300 liters, we recommend the Unifilter UV-C 750 model, and for tanks of 250-350 liters, we recommend the Unifilter UV-C 1000 model, tailored to higher filtration and sterilization requirements.
