PEARLMAX BIO 1L is a multilayer filter media designed for biological-chemical filtration in freshwater and marine aquariums, suitable for tanks of 50-300 L. Made of sintered glass, they provide advanced water purification.

Active and porous design

PEARLMAX BIO media have a porous structure with voids that actively adsorb ammonia (NH4) and nitrite (NO2) ions, eliminating harmful substances. In addition, they release trace elements, supporting fish and plant metabolism and healthy development.

Application and benefits

Ideal for both indoor and outdoor filters (e.g. MULTIKANI, UNIMAX), this media creates a healthy aquarium environment, improving water clarity and promoting the growth of organisms. Their versatility allows them to be used even in small filters.

How to use.

Place the cartridge in the filter basket or filter chamber after mechanical cartridges. Do not rinse before use to preserve adsorption properties, and replace about 50% of the cartridge every 4-6 months.

Maintenance

Every 4-6 months, rinse half of the cartridge in aquarium water to remove sediment without destroying bacterial colonies. Avoid complete replacement to maintain continuous filtration.

Comments

Place the cartridge after mechanical filtration to maximize adsorption. Regular rinsing in aquarium water ensures long-term effectiveness.
