Aquael BIOCERAMAX PRO 600 1L is a filter cartridge designed for biological water filtration in freshwater and marine aquariums, paludaria, aquaterraria and terrarium pools. Its porous structure provides a filtration surface of 600 m²/l, ideal for the growth of nitrifying bacteria.
Removal of toxins
Porous ceramic cylinders create a habitat for bacteria of the Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira genera, which oxidize toxic ammonia (Nitrosomonas) and nitrites (Nitrospira) to safer nitrates. This process significantly improves water quality, protecting fish and other organisms from poisoning.
Versatile design
The cartridge is ready to use without rinsing. It is recommended to place it in the filter after mechanical cartridges and before chemical cartridges for optimal results.
Long-lasting performance
The cartridge has a long life, but is subject to slow wear by crushing. To maintain effectiveness, it is recommended to replace about 1/3 of the cartridge every 6-12 months. When cleaning, rinse it in water drained from the aquarium to avoid sterilization of bacteria.
Dedicated to aquariums up to 200 l
BIOCERAMAX PRO 600 1L is recommended for aquariums up to 200 liters, especially with large fish stocking or demanding species. It supports a healthy aquatic environment in freshwater and marine tanks.
