Aquarists are a diverse group. Some appreciate the simplicity and convenience of ready-made cardridges with sachets for filter media, while others love to compose filtration on their own according to their own preferences. No matter what you choose, we have prepared an offer tailored to your needs.

Take advantage of the capacious filtration chamber to fill with the bulk materials of your choice at will. For example, arrange them in layers as in a typical cascade filter. You can take advantage of our wide range of filter media.

Pre-treatment of water

Replacement filter cartridges are a ready-made solution that will improve the care of clean water in the aquarium. A special role in removing unwanted substances from the water is played by the prefilter. It enhances the work of the main filter resources and makes sure that larger impurities do not get further.

In the FZN PRO cascade filter, the function of the prefilter is performed by fine elements of coarse filter sponge. Their cylindrical shape allows you to make optimal use of the filtering surface, as well as properly fill the basket. The sponges should be placed in the container located under the adjustment knob.

Sponge matched to the FZN PRO filters

Very quiet and efficient FZN PRO cascade filters can be used in both fresh and saltwater tanks. The motor located underwater does not need to be flooded, and a number of conveniences allow for convenient use.

It is worth placing a sponge cartridge under the filter media basket. This will enhance the cleansing effect of the water, as well as make full use of the volume of the filter media basket. The porous sponge will be the initial filtration element. On it you can then layer any loose media from Aquael’s offer – decide for yourself what will work best for your tank. It is also possible to combine loose media with ready-made cardridges dedicated to FZN PRO.

The blue sponges for the main basket are perfectly cut to fit the curves of the basket. They fit the following types of filters in the FZN PRO family:

FZN PRO 700
FZN PRO 1000
FZN PRO 1500

Note: The FZN PRO 400 model does not have specially dedicated sponge media. The plastic baskets shown in the photos are not included in the media described here. They are sold with the FZN PRO filter models.
