AQUAEL FOAM CARTRIDGE SUPER FINISH SPONGE 45PPI ULTRAMAX/MAXIKANI is a 45 PPI filter sponge for mechanical and biological filtration in freshwater and marine aquariums, ideal for 100-500 L tanks. It provides the highest level of water clarity thanks to its ultra-fine pores.
Finely porous and advanced design
Made of non-toxic phenol-free sponge, the 45 PPI density sponge traps microscopic contaminants such as particulate matter and silt particles while offering a large surface area for nitrifying bacteria. Its structure provides crystalline water, but may slightly reduce water flow.
Applications and benefits
Ideal as the last layer of filtration in canister filters, the sponge provides exceptional water clarity and supports a healthy aquarium ecosystem. It is especially recommended for aquariums with delicate fish or plants that require clear water.
How to use.
Place the sponge in the ULTRAMAX or MAXIKANI filter basket as the last layer after the standard and finish sponge. Replace or rinse every 2-4 weeks, depending on the level of contamination.
Maintenance
Rinse the sponge in aquarium water every 2-4 weeks to remove sediment and preserve bacterial colonies. Replace the sponge when it becomes worn or clogged to ensure filtration efficiency.
