Open-porous design

Made of non-toxic phenol-free sponge, the open-porous (LD) sponge traps larger debris, such as food debris and organic sediment, without reducing water flow. Its porosity promotes the growth of nitrifying bacteria, stabilizing the biological parameters of the aquarium.

Application and benefits

Ideal as the first layer of filtration in the MULTIKANI 800 filter, the sponge provides initial water purification and protects other filter media, such as ceramic (0.7 l in the MULTIKANI bucket). It is safe for fish and plants, and its design minimizes the risk of clogging.

How to use.

Place the sponge in the MULTIKANI 800 filter bucket as the first layer of mechanical filtration. Replace or rinse every 2-4 weeks, depending on the level of contamination.
