NANOMAX BIO 1L is a high-performance filter media designed for biological filtration in freshwater and marine aquariums, ideal for large tanks (100-500 L). It consists of ceramic balls with a diameter of about 30 mm, providing excellent conditions for filter bacteria.

Innovative ceramic design

Made of ceramic microparticles, NANOMAX BIO spheres are characterized by a compact structure and high density, offering a filtration surface area of about 2,000 m² per liter. This huge surface area promotes the growth of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, effectively removing harmful substances such as ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

Applications and benefits

Ideal for large canister filters (e.g. UNIMAX, MULTIKANI), NANOMAX BIO provides crystal clear water and a healthy environment for fish and plants. Its durable design minimizes the need for frequent replacement, supporting long-term filtration.

How to use.

Place the cartridge in the canister filter basket or filter chamber after mechanical cartridges. Do not rinse before use to preserve surface area for bacteria, and replace about 50% of the cartridge every 4-6 months.

Maintenance

Every 4-6 months, rinse half of the cartridge in aquarium water to remove sediment without destroying bacterial colonies. Complete replacement is not recommended to maintain the continuity of biological filtration.

Comments

Make sure the cartridge is placed after mechanical filtration for optimal effectiveness. Regular rinsing in aquarium water prolongs the life of filter bacteria.
